DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision, provides assistance and support for security badge administration and reporting, door access, security cameras, distress alarms, the Business Continuity Program (BCP), and does related work as required.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES This position is responsible for providing planning, implementation, administration, maintenance and support of ACERA’s security systems and plans. The Security Analyst, ACERA, reports to the Retirement Chief Technology Officer, ACERA. This class is distinguished from the Personal Computer and Network Systems Analyst, ACERA, in that the latter has overall responsibility for all ACERA network and computer activities. |
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

NOTE: The following are the duties performed by employees in this classification. However, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Each individual in the classification does not necessarily perform all duties listed. 2. Manages guest/staff temporary access cards and photo identification badge distribution including providing periodic security access reports to management and managing all inventory of badges. 3. Maintains video monitoring system and provides reports and recordings to management when needed. 4. Responsible for the integrity of all doors, including doors with motion detection functionality, within the agency. 5. Maintains the failover functionality of ACERA’s VoIP system in the case of a disaster. 6. Works closely with management to develop and implement communication and security system policies, plans and procedures to improve processes. 7. Responsible for the development, documentation, implementation and maintenance of the BCP program including, governance, policies, processes and standards. 8. Responsible for establishing and overseeing annual testing of BCP strategies and plans including documenting, reporting and tracking test results. 9. Manage and maintain enterprise Business Continuity Program (BCP) software. 10. Coordinates the execution of disaster recovery and business continuity recovery plans with internal teams and 3rd party vendors in the event of a localized or full site business disruption. 11. Manages the distress alarm system. |
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The equivalent of three years of recent full-time experience in a position responsible for the management or supervision of security related systems, which include designing, organizing, installing and support of these systems.
OR Three (3) years of experience in the design, development, and management of a business continuity planning program. Highly Desirable: Basic knowledge of security systems. A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university in the area of Information Systems or a closely related field. NOTE: The Civil Service Commission may modify the above Minimum Qualifications in the announcement of an examination. |
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Knowledge of: • Security monitoring equipment, including video surveillance equipment. • Computer networks • Business Continuity recovery process concepts, strategies, and methodologies which includes risk assessment, business impact analysis, recover procedures, training metrics, and crisis management. Ability to: • Manage enterprise Business Continuity Program (BCP) including use of business continuity software tools. • Use professional audio/video equipment. • Write technical instructions/documentation. • Use Microsoft Windows , MS Office Suite, Internet browsers, BCP management software. • Coordinate all aspects of BCP exercise. |
