Incumbents in this class are primarily responsible for reviewing and coordinating the work of subordinates, acting as a technical resource for subordinate and management staff, and performing the most complex duties and assignments. The Child Support Supervisor classification is distinguished from the lower-level class of Child Support Specialist III in that the former is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of work performed by subordinate staff, while the latter is considered the lead in the non-supervisorial Child Support Specialist series.
