DESCRIPTION
|
Under direction, to assume full operational responsibility for the Emergency Services Dispatch Center on an assigned shift; to investigate and resolve service or personnel-related complaints; to serve as a dispatcher as necessary; to perform related work as required. DISTINGUISHING FEATURES
Emergency Services Dispatch Supervisors work as shift supervisors in the Emergency Services Dispatch Center, where they supervise dispatcher personnel. This position works various shifts, holidays, and weekends. This class differs from the next lower class of Emergency Services Dispatcher II by having supervisory administrative responsibility for a shift.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
|
EITHER I
The equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in the class of Emergency Services Dispatcher II in the Alameda County classified service.
OR II
The equivalent of four (4) years of full-time journey-level dispatching experience with a public safety agency, one (1) year of which must include supervisory or lead experience.
