DESCRIPTION
|
Under direction, develops, coordinates and evaluates the effectiveness of coursework, curriculum, and training programs for personnel within the Assessor’s Office; instructs personnel on subject matter related to real property appraising and auditing; and performs other work as required. DISTINGUISHING FEATURES This is a one-position class located in the Assessor’s Office. This position differs from Appraiser III or Supervising Appraiser I in that the latter are responsible for the appraisal of commercial-industrial properties or assume responsibility for the supervision of an appraisal crew involved with residential properties. |

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
|
EITHER I Experience: The equivalent of one year of full-time experience in the class of Appraiser III in the Alameda County classified service (non-classified includes District Attorney’s Office and the Hospital Authority). OR II Education: Possession of a Baccalaureate degree awarded by an accredited college or university. AND Experience: The equivalent of four (4) years of full-time experience in real property appraisal work which included the equivalent of one year of full-time experience supervising real estate appraisers for ad valorem tax assessment purposes.
License: Possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle Operator’s License.
