DESCRIPTION
|
Under general direction, to provide project management, liaison, and contract administration for the coordination, design, and implementation of technology programs and systems; analyze business system needs, research and provide recommendations to meet those needs; manages the implementation of automated solutions, prepare instructional materials, and perform related duties as required. Distinguishing Features This classification is located in the Zone 7 Water Agency and will report to the Assistant General Manager – Finance, Zone 7. This position will work with internal and external stakeholders to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the Agency’s business and assist with the development and implementation of Information Technology (IT) policies, procedures, and best practices. The Technology Project Coordinator will work independently in managing multiple technology projects and contracts and meeting established deadlines. |

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
|
Experience: The equivalent of four (4) years full-time, progressively responsible project coordination or management experience in the area of Information Technology, or a closely related field. Substitution: Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field may substitute for two (2) years of the required experience. Certification: Possession of a Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate is highly desirable. NOTE: The Civil Service Commission may modify the above Minimum Qualifications in the announcement of an examination. |
