DESCRIPTION

This position is located in Alameda County Behavioral Health (ACBH) in the Child and Young Adult System of Care. Under the general direction of the Child and Young Adult System of Care Director, the Early Childhood Mental Health Coordinator plans, organizes, and coordinates a variety of Specialty Mental Health services and programs for children aged Birth to 8 years old within the Early Childhood Division. The Early Childhood Mental Health Coordinator provides program planning, technical assistance, contract monitoring, and oversight to the ACBH Early Childhood Provider Network. DISTINGUISHING FEATURES This single class position is located in Alameda County Behavioral Health, Child and Young Adult System of Care (CYASOC), and is responsible for the oversight of programs for children Birth to 8 years of age. The incumbent may report to other members of the CYASOC Executive Leadership Team including the CYASOC Director, CYASOC Assistant Director, and/or other appropriate members of the CYASOC Executive Leadership Team. This role helps to ensure that accessible and culturally responsive behavioral health services are delivered to children and their families in Alameda County. This position is an ACBH departmental liaison for internal and external partners for Early Childhood Services. |

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
|
Education: Possession of a master's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Public Administration, Public Policy, Social Work, Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field. AND Experience: The equivalent of three (3) years of full-time progressively responsible experience in a public, private, or community-based organization which included responsibility for program management, planning and/or evaluation in a comprehensive service program addressing the needs of children, youth and families. License: Possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's license.
