DESCRIPTION

Under direction of the Pharmacy Director or Medical Director, supports the monitoring and the delivery of pharmacy services to mental health and alcohol and drug programs for the Health Care Services Agency Department of Alameda County Behavioral Health (ACBH). In addition, this position assists in the monitoring of medication prescribing and performs related work as required. DISTINGUISHING FEATURES An incumbent in the class of Pharmacist, ACBH assists the Pharmacy Director and Senior Pharmacist in monitoring pharmacy services and medication prescribing for Alameda County Behavioral Health and its clients throughout ACBH programs and network pharmacies. The Pharmacist, ACBH is the entry level position and has little to no experience working with mentally ill clients and minimal training and knowledge in psychotropic medications. This position reports directly to the ACBH Pharmacy Director. |

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
|
Education: Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy. AND Experience: The equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience as a pharmacist. License: Possession of a valid license to practice pharmacy in California.
