DISTINGUISHING FEATURES

Janitor Supervisors are full-time supervisors and do not regularly perform janitorial work.  This classification is distinguished from the classification of Lead Janitor and Lead Janitor, Detention Facilities in that the lead classifications do not have full supervisory responsibility and still perform janitorial work in addition to directing, prioritizing, coordinating, assigning, and reviewing the work of Janitors and Janitors, Detention Facilities.  Janitor Supervisors report to the Manager, Janitorial Services and are distinguished from the latter classification because of the Manager’s overall responsibility for the Janitorial Services division and their administrative and budget related responsibilities.
