DESCRIPTION
|
Under general supervision, performs complex accounting clerical work in connection with maintaining and reconciling financial records for the Alameda County Fire Department (ACFD); and performs related work as required. DISTINGUISHING FEATURES Positions allocated to this class maintain and reconcile complex account record keeping systems including accounts payable and receivable for all financial transactions for the Fire Department. This position is distinguished from the higher class of Fire Department Payroll Processor in that the latter is responsible for the preparation of payroll, maintenance of payroll documentation and files, and preparation of State and Federal payroll tax reports and agencies reporting. |

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
|
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. AND Experience: The equivalent of two (2) years of responsible financial record keeping experience. (Completion of a bookkeeping or accounting curriculum in an accredited business school or community college may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.)
