DESCRIPTION
|
Under general supervision, to service automotive vehicles and light-duty trucks (up to 1-ton rating) with oil, fuel, and coolant; to inspect vehicles for preventative maintenance; to lubricate vehicles; to repair tires and make other minor repairs; to shuttle and park cars; and to do related work as required. DISTINGUISHING FEATURES This position is located in the General Services Agency, Motor Vehicles Unit. Auto Service Workers perform routine servicing, minor repair, and unit replacement on County vehicles at the Motor Vehicles facilities, including motor pool and shop locations, and at various parking lots throughout the County. Auto Service Workers receive direction from the Auto Mechanic Supervisor and Lead Mechanic and are expected to work with minimal supervision. |

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
|
EITHER I Education: The equivalent of one (1) year training/education in basic automotive technology. AND Experience: The equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in automotive repair or maintenance. OR II Experience: The equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience in automotive repair or maintenance. License:
