THIS IS A NEW ASSEMBLED EXAMINATION. The eligible list resulting from this examination will cancel any existing list and may last approximately one year, but can be extended.
This position requires that all candidates possess and maintain a valid California Motor Vehicle Class C Driver's License. Candidates must submit evidence from the DMV showing current status of their license at the time of application dated between March 23, 2022 to the last day of filing for this recruitment. Candidates must have a clean driving record for the previous three-year period. A clean driving record consist of no violations in the previous three years.

THE AGENCY
THE POSITION
Under general supervision of a Field Maintenance Supervisor the incumbent works in Traffic Safety Services. Provides oversight and technical direction to a crew of traffic safety staff in line and legend painting, worded traffic control markings on pavement; install traffic warning signs; paint guards, barricades, raised traffic bars and similar devices; and to do related work as required.

EITHER I
Experience:
The equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience as a Traffic Painter in the Alameda County classified service.
OR II
Experience:
The equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience as a Laborer in the Traffic Safety division of the Maintenance and Operations Department in the Alameda County classified service.
OR III
Experience:
The equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience in traffic painting or general road maintenance or construction work which must have included at least one (1) year providing oversight and direction to small work crews.
License:
Possession of a valid class C California Motor Vehicle Operator's license. Candidates must submit evidence from the Department of Motor Vehicles that the candidate has a valid license with no restrictions at the time of hiring. Must have no moving violations for the previous three (3) years.
