ALAMEDA COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEYS OFFICE
ALAMEDA COUNTY FAMILY JUSTICE CENTER
DEPARTMENT
The Alameda County Family Justice Center helps victims of intimate partner violence, child abuse, human trafficking, elder abuse and sexual assault who historically often sought help from a fragmented, disjointed system of agencies offering related, but uncoordinated services. The Alameda County Family Justice Center (ACFJC) now serves as the heart of a comprehensive service delivery system made up of over 100 public and private agency partners throughout the Bay Area, providing a gateway to safety, healing, and empowerment for victims of abuse. We advocate for and construct a future where there is zero tolerance for intimate partner violence, child abuse, sexual assault and exploitation and elder abuse.
THE POSITION
The Employment Services Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to assist clients of the ACFJC in obtaining gainful employment by identifying and addressing barriers to employment. This entails staying closely connected with partner agencies, employment related services, universities, local business, mentorship programs, and vocational training organizations.
The Client Empowerment Specialist will oversee STEP-UP 2 WORK, a program designed to empower survivors to take the importance step of financial independence so that they can begin to rebuild their lives and ultimately break the cycle of violence for not only themselves but for their children and families.
This position works closely and under the direct supervision of the ACFJC Associate Director who oversees the Empowerment Division.
