Thank you for your interest in the Senior Latent Fingerprint Examiner recruitment, #23-8531-01. Applicants for this position are required to submit responses to the following supplemental questions. Your completed responses to the supplemental questionnaire will be evaluated to determine your qualifications and must be completed properly to be given full consideration for the next phase of the selection process. Additionally, your responses will also be evaluated and used in the selection process to identify the best-qualified applicants.

Responses should be thorough and specific. A lack of detail and explanation in the supplemental questions and your application may result in failure or disqualification. Clarity of expression, content, experience, grammar, spelling, and the ability to follow instructions will be considered in the evaluation process. Do you possess the equivalent of three (3) years experience as a Latent Fingerprint Examiner in the Alameda County classified service which includes 120 hours of approved fingerprint training in the instruction of latent fingerprint processing, casework, or other related studies of which 80 hours must be post-probationary?

OR

Do you possess the equivalent of four (4) years of increasingly responsible full-time, paid experience in fingerprint classification in a law enforcement agency to include 140 hours of approved, certified fingerprint training in fingerprint classification, identification and comparison completed within the past three (3) years and of which a minimum of 18 months was performed at a level comparable to or higher than that of a Latent Fingerprint Examiner and included full-time latent print work and serving as a qualified fingerprint expert for court testimony.
