In the role of Senior Family Support Case Manager with the MPCAH unit, you will be working with pregnant women, children and families, many of whom have a variety of health and social risk factors. Please describe the training, education and experience you have that has prepared you to successfully engage and support families in the capacity of a Senior Family Support Case Manager within the MPCAH unit.

Provide an example of a time when a client family’s cultural background (which was different from your own) affected your approach to a work situation. Describe the situation, the various approaches you considered, the action you took and the outcome. What did you learn from the experience?

Senior Family Support Case Managers work with client families affected by a variety of social risk factors, often times in high stress situations. Provide a specific example of a conflict you experienced with a client family you were trying to assist. What was the situation? What action did you take? What was the outcome? What tools did you utilize to help alleviate the conflict?

Describe your experience screening clients (individuals or families) for issues such as depression, domestic violence, infant development, etc. In your response, address the strategies you've used to introduce and complete screenings, discuss results/screenings with clients and refer clients to services as necessary.

Please describe the techniques/methods you use to establish rapport and engage clients (individuals and families). Provide an example of a time you worked with an individual or family that was difficult to engage. What was the situation, what strategies did you use to engage the individual or family, and what was the outcome?
