Applicants for this position are required to submit responses to the following supplemental questions.  Your completed responses to the supplemental questionnaire will be evaluated to determine your qualifications and must be completed properly in order to be given full consideration for the next phase in the selection process. Additionally, your responses will also be evaluated and used in the selection process in order to identify the best qualified applicants. 

Responses should be thorough and specific.  A lack of detail and explanation in the supplemental questions and in your application may result in failure or disqualification for this position.  Clarity of expression, content, experience, grammar, spelling and the ability to follow instructions will be considered in the evaluation process.  A resume will not be accepted as a substitute for properly completed responses.

Information provided in your responses to the supplemental questionnaire regarding your employment experiences must also be detailed in the Work Experience section of the application for this recruitment.  Please be sure to list all employers and required information, on your application, especially if you are referencing those employers in your responses to the supplemental questions.

Identify specific course work and/or specialized training in environmental engineering, geology, physical hydrogeology, contaminant fate and transport, bioremediation, and remediation engineering that you have completed.  Identify the academic institution, the course subject, and dates that the courses were completed in your response.

Describe your work experience investigating and remediating subsurface soil and groundwater contamination from petroleum products and non-petroleum products (chlorinated solvents, metals, etc.). For at least two projects, describe your role and the specific work and technical analysis you performed.

Describe your work experience determining and/or demonstrating that biodegradation (of all gasoline constituents, including oxygenates) is occurring at a petroleum release site. Provide a specific example of a project you worked on. Include a description of how you evaluated biodegradation; details of your monitoring network (monitoring well design, positioning, sampling locations, frequency, etc.), and the methods and techniques you used to demonstrate that biodegradation was occurring.

4.

Describe your experience designing, conducting, and/or evaluating soil gas surveys and their results at subsurface contamination sites. Provide a specific example of a project you worked on. Include a description of your design and/or evaluations, details of your sampling network (its design, positioning, sampling locations, frequency, etc.), and the outcome of this work in your response.

Describe the key factors controlling the fate and transport of dissolved gasoline constituents in a groundwater aquifer.
