Thank you for your interest in the position of Deputy Sheriff II (Lateral), Exam #23-8604-01.  Applicants for this position are required to submit responses to the following supplemental questions.  Your completed responses to the supplemental questionnaire will be evaluated to further verify minimum qualifications.  Failure to answer these questions truthfully may result in disqualification from the examination process.

Do you possess the minimum 36 months full-time experience as a Peace Officer in a California law enforcement agency (municipality, Sheriff, Highway Patrol) with a separation date within 12 months of the application date?

The following special requirements are noted in the minimum qualifications:

Federal law and County policy requires that certain positions in the class of Deputy Sheriff I/II, which require a commercial driver's license and the performance of duties defined as "safety sensitive" are subject to post-offer/pre-placement/pre-duty, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing.

A thorough background investigation will be made of all prospective Deputy Sheriffs. A record of any felony conviction will result in disqualification.

By selecting the checkbox, I acknowledge that I am required to submit a valid WSTB/PAT test score with a minimum passing score of 320 or above.  I understand that the test result must be on agency letterhead and reflect the date the test was completed.  I understand I must upload my PAT/WSTB test score under the "Resume" tab of my application at the time I submit my application, or email my score to the recruitment analyst, Elaine Lemi, at elaine.lemi@acgov.org by the filing deadline.  I understand failure to submit a valid PAT/WSTB score will prevent me from moving forward in the recruitment process.
