THIS IS A NEW ASSEMBLED EXAMINATION. The eligible list resulting from this examination will cancel any existing list and may last approximately one year, but can be extended.

THE POSITION
Under general direction, to analyze department business system needs, and produce, maintain and update software systems to meet those needs. Information Systems Analysts are responsible for gathering requirements, defining problems and recommending solutions, writing program and database design specifications, modifying existing systems and providing production support for users and their systems. Information Systems Analysts may also prepare instructional material for department staff, act as project manager on projects; and performs related duties as required.
EXISTING VACANCIES
While the immediate vacancies for these positions are in the Health Care Services Agency, Alameda County Library, and the Assessor's Office, the eligible list resulting from this recruitment and selection process may be utilized for other future vacancies which may arise within the next year for these and other Alameda County departments and agencies.
