THIS IS A NEW ASSEMBLED EXAMINATION. The eligible list resulting from this examination will cancel any existing list and may last approximately one year but can be extended.
SUPPLEMENTAL QUESTIONNAIRE: A properly completed Supplemental Questionnaire must be submitted with each application. Failure to submit the Application or Supplemental Questionnaire will result in disqualification.

APPLICATIONS AND SUPPLEMENTAL QUESTIONNAIRE WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED ONLINE.
Under general supervision, strips, waxes, refinishes and shampoos various types of floors in an assigned area in a secure, 24/7 detention facility (Juvenile Justice Center and Santa Rita Jail); may also be assigned to general janitorial duties; and performs related duties as required.

EITHER I:
Experience:
The equivalent of six months of full-time experience in the class of Janitor or Janitor, Detention Facilities in the Alameda County classified service.
OR II:
Experience:
The equivalent of six months of full-time janitorial floor care experience that included carpet, tile or finished concrete.
OR III:
Experience:
The equivalent of six months of full-time janitorial experience in offices or an institution and completion of floor care training.
License:
A valid California Motor Vehicle Operator’s license.
Special Requirement:
Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.
May be assigned to work day, evening, night and rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
