PURPOSE OF JOB CLASS (NATURE OF WORK)
In a state agency this class is accountable for making or conducting a special inquiry, investigation, examination or installation pursuant to Section 5-198(n) of the Connecticut General Statutes.
APPOINTMENT
In accordance with Sections 5-198(14) and 5-270(g) of the Connecticut General Statutes.
Positions in this class are durational and are established for a period of up to four (4) years. Positions may be extended as warranted. Requests for extensions must be made in writing to the Commissioner of Administrative Services and must document the need for the extension including the work on the special inquiry, investigation, examination or installation remaining and the duration of the requested extension.
HOURLY RATE SCHEDULE
Rates of compensation are set for each position established based on a comparison between the duties of the position and any similar management classes or levels in the Classified Service as required by Section 5-200-1 of the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies.
