In a large state agency this class is accountable for directing agency communications and public relations programs.
GUIDELINES FOR JOB CLASS USE
Incumbents in this class are responsible for overseeing all communications activities where the size, complexity and span of control warrant this level.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Receives executive direction from the agency head or other administrative official.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
May direct staff as assigned.
APPOINTMENT
Appointed in accordance with the provisions of 5-198 (29) of the Connecticut General Statutes.
