PURPOSE OF JOB CLASS (NATURE OF WORK)

In the Connecticut Lottery Corporation this class is responsible for the performance of public relations duties associated with the Lottery’s mobile marketing and special events initiative.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

Works under the general direction of the Vice President of Marketing and Sales or other employee of higher grade.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

  • Represents and promotes Connecticut Lottery Corporation at high-traffic locations such as sponsorship events, retailer or sporting events, fairs and festivals; 
  • Distributes lottery products, informational brochures and promotional items to the public; 
  • Responds to inquiries regarding the Partnership for Responsible Gambling, the Lottery Corporation and its procedures, game rules and rules of operation; 
  • Uses public address system to motivate and educate public; 
  • Assists in implementation of interactive games; 
  • Safeguards and awards promotional prizes; 
  • Maintains accurate accounting of promotional items; 
  • Ensures compliance with Lottery rules and regulations; 
  • Evaluates vendor and site for effectiveness; 
  • Performs related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Any experience that could reasonably be expected to provide the knowledge, skills and abilities for effective job performance.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Incumbents in this class will be required to travel.

SALARY

$15.69 per hour
$18.00 per hour - Holidays
