PURPOSE OF JOB CLASS (NATURE OF WORK)
Serves as a Deputy to the Commissioner of Children and Families in the areas of program services or administrative services. Assists the Commissioner in the administration of departmental activities as provided by Section l7a-9 of the Connecticut General Statutes.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- The Deputy Commissioner for program services shall be a clinically competent professional person experienced in one or more fields of children's services and in the administration of such services.
- The Deputy Commissioner of administrative services shall have experience in business or institutional administration.
APPOINTMENT
Appointed by the Commissioner of Children and Families after consultation with the State Advisory Council in accordance with the provisions of Section 4-8 and 17a-9 of the Connecticut General Statutes.
