PURPOSE OF JOB CLASS (NATURE OF WORK)

In the Connecticut Lottery Corporation this class is responsible for the performance of duties associated with drawings for lottery games.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

Works under the general direction of the Security Director, Lottery Drawing Manager or other employee of higher grade.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

  • Draws winning numbers for lottery games;
  • Accurately completes all paperwork and enters winning numbers into the computer gaming system;
  • Assists in pre-drawing and post-drawing procedures;
  • Participates in ball weighing procedures;
  • Acts as Drawing Performer or Drawing Director, and is available to act as back-up Performer or Director when assigned;
  • Performs related duties as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

  • Ability in public speaking;
  • Ability to
    • follow oral and written instructions;
    • operate office equipment which includes computers, tablets, and other electronic equipment;
    • deal effectively with others.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Any experience that could reasonably be expected to provide the abilities for effective job performance.

SALARY

Pay is hourly and dependent time of day and type of work:
  • Day - $55/hour
  • Night - $50/hour
  • Holiday Day - $60/hour
  • Holiday Night - $55/hour
  • Ball Weigh - $40/hour
  • All Ball Weigh - $50/hour
NOTES: 
  • Additional rates are in effect for Trainee and Trainer roles.
  • Holiday rates are paid on the actual holiday, not the day it is observed by the state.
