In the Department of Correction this class is accountable for administering medical services programs and operations relating to offenders and inmates under the care and custody of the agency including offenders assigned to Parole and Community Services supervision.
Receives administrative direction from the Chief Operating Officer or other administrative official of higher grade.
Administers medical services programs and operations; directs all staff.
Five (5) years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting as a physician in a general medical and surgical service involving all phases of medicine and surgery.
Two (2) years of the General Experience must have been in a supervisory capacity or as a leader of programs and processes.
