In the Office of Health Care Advocate, this class is accountable for assisting in the direction of daily operations of the agency.
This class is limited to one Assistant Health Care Advocate position within the Office of Health Care Advocate.
Receives administrative direction from the Health Care Advocate.
Assists in directing staff.
Nine (9) years of experience in health care advocacy, insurance regulation, the insurance industry, nursing, managed care and/or healthcare administration.
Two (2) years of the General Experience must have been in a management, supervisory or consultative capacity.

College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equaling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor's degree.

A Master's degree in healthcare advocacy, healthcare management, nursing, business administration, insurance, finance, public administration, public health or a related field may be substituted for one (1) additional year of the General Experience.

One (1) year as a Health Care Advocate Program Manager may be substituted for the General and Special Experience.
NOTE: For state employees one (1) year of experience as a Health Care Advocate Program Manager may be substituted for the General and Special Experience.
