In the Department of Public Health this class is accountable for supervising staff in a major program which requires the application of professional healthcare knowledge.
Five (5) years of experience working as a registered Dietitian/Nutritionist in a position involving administration, consultation, education or supervision.
OR
Five (5) years of experience as a licensed Clinical Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist in a position involving administration, consultation, education or supervision.
NOTE:
- Administrative capacity is interpreted as having managerial responsibility in setting and implementing policies, carrying out program planning, and evaluating and coordinating special projects, etc. in the area specified in the appropriate licensure/certification.
- Consultative capacity is interpreted as the providing of professional expert advice to other than subordinate staff on major programmatic issues in the area specified in the appropriate licensure/certification.
- Educational capacity is interpreted as experience in a full time professional educational position instructing professionals in a formalized program or teaching students in an undergraduate or graduate program in the area specified in the appropriate licensure/certification.
- Supervisory capacity is interpreted as having administrative supervision of professional staff.
