PURPOSE OF JOB CLASS (NATURE OF WORK)

Administers and directs the Office of the Victim Advocate to secure and ensure the legal, civil and special rights of victims residing in the State of Connecticut.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

The Victim Advocate shall have knowledge of victims' rights and services and shall be an attorney and qualified by training and experience to perform the duties of Victim Advocate.

APPOINTMENT

Appointed by the Governor in accordance with the provisions of Sections 46a-13b and 4-19 of the Connecticut General Statutes.
