The State of Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) mission is to promote public safety and regulate drivers, their motor vehicles and certain vehicle-related businesses, through the delivery of exceptional customer service to internal and external customers. The CT DMV is searching for employees who are empowered to make a difference and to provide exceptional service to our customers.
The Department of Motor Vehicles currently has a great opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic Human Resources professional to work out of the Wethersfield office. This is a full time 40 hour position with possibility of some travel. The incumbent of this position will be accountable for independently performing a full range of complex professional duties related to human resource management and will work directly with managers, supervisors and employees to develop and provide solutions to workplace issues, while supporting and optimizing the operating principles of the agency.

In the Department of Administrative Services, this class is deployed at an agency and is accountable for independently performing a full range of human resources duties as an agency business partner.
In a state agency outside of the State's centralized Human Resources structure, this class will be accountable for independently performing a full range of human resources and other related duties.
One (1) year of the General Experience must have been at the junior working level in human resources management.
For state employees, this is interpreted at the level of Human Resources Generalist 1 or Human Resources Associate.
1. College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equaling one half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor's degree.
2. A Master's degree in human resources management, labor relations, business administration, public administration or other closely related field may be substituted for one (1) additional year of the General Experience.
