The State of Connecticut, Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) is hiring! We are seeking a qualified individual for the position of Lead Custodian.
The Mission of the State of Connecticut, Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) is "Serving Those Who Served" and for over 140 years, Connecticut has been caring for its veterans and their dependents. This is accomplished through our Office of Advocacy and Assistance (OAA), Residential Facility, Healthcare Center, and Cemetery and Memorial Services.
Are you interested in joining our team as a Lead Custodian? We encourage you to apply today! This position is located in Rocky Hill, CT. The work schedule for this position is typically Saturday - Wednesday, 7AM - 3PM, 37.5 hours per week.
Please Note: At times conditions of infectious outbreaks may require the use of N-95 respirators. This will require that the area the mask seals must be free of facial hair.This may require shaving of the face for a positive seal.
*The entry level compensation rate for this position shall be ten (10%) percent below the minimum compensation listed on this bulletin for an employee in his/her initial working test period. Upon completion of the initial working test period, the employee shall advance to the minimum (Step 1) of the salary schedule and be paid accordingly.
In order to be considered for this job opening, you must be a current State of CT employee, who has permanent state status* and meet the Minimum Qualifications as listed on the job opening. You must specify your qualifications on your application.
*For employees in the classified service, permanent status is obtained after successful completion of a working test period. For employees in the unclassified service, permanent status is obtained after serving in a position for at least six months (full-time or full-time equivalent).
