The State of Connecticut, Department of Aging and Disability Services (ADS), Bureau of Education and Services for the Blind (BESB) is now accepting applications to fill one (1) Rehabilitation Teacher 1 position for the Adult Services program. The person hired for this position will evaluate the ability of a BESB client with legal blindness to benefit from non-prescription optical and electronic video magnification device(s) and will teach the BESB client compensatory techniques to complete activities of daily living in order to maintain maximum independence in the home and in the community. The position is based in New Haven and travel may be required.
