The State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) is seeking a dynamic Inpatient Analyst - Clinician for the DMHAS Electronic Health Records Team. The reporting location is 460 Silver Street in Middletown. This position is full-time, 40 hours per week, first shift, with a work schedule of 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. This position is eligible for partial telecommuting and flexible scheduling dependent upon program needs.

In this role, discover the opportunity to:
• Design, build and maintain the inpatient modules of the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with internal and external resources.
• Provide subject matter expertise in inpatient behavioral health.
• Perform testing of the software.
• Analyze the system to ensure compliance with programming requirements, procedures and regulations.
• Provide troubleshooting.
• Prepare reports.
• Apply project planning and project management methodologies
• Provide on-site user support as needed. 
• Understand and incorporate end user workflows into the system.
• Configure and build activity navigators, best practice alerts, medication workflows, orders and Smart tools.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - GENERAL EXPERIENCE

Nine (9) years of professional experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SPECIAL EXPERIENCE

One (1) year of the General Experience must have been in the specific area of assignment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED

  • College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equalling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor's degree.
  • A Master's degree in business administration, public administration or a closely related field may be substituted for one (1) additional year of the General Experience.
  • Department of Labor: Two (2) years of experience as an Apprenticeship and Training Program Manager may be substituted for the General and Special Experience.    

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Clinical license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), Licensed Marital and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). 
  • Experience working in an inpatient behavioral health setting.
  • Experience working within a large multi-disciplinary team.
