Marine Headquarters Seasonal Resource Assistant - Seasonal Help
  • Up to 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, located in Old Lyme, CT.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
Responsibilities include:
  • Assist walk-in customers with purchase of various hunting and fishing licenses;
  • Process payments of cash, checks and credit card for various licenses and passes sold by DEEP;
  • Record daily sales and assemble deposits for both bank drop off and check scanning;
  • Provide assistance for customer inquiries by answering questions or directing them to proper staff for assistance;
  • Reviewing customer records for duplicates and reconciling;
  • May open mail, answer phones or other office duties as needed;
  • Performs related duties as required.

PURPOSE OF JOB CLASS (NATURE OF WORK)

In the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, as a limited duration employee, performs one or more of a variety of tasks and assigned duties of a seasonal nature.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

Ability to follow instructions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in and utilizing Microsoft Office applications;
  • Experience following instructions in a professional setting;
  • Experience working with detail oriented assignments and projects; and
  • Experience working independently.
