Bureau of Water Protection and Land Reuse Seasonal Resource Assistants
  • Up to 35 hours per week with the opportunity for Hybrid/Remote work.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Updating electronic file management;
  • Copying, scanning, and filing records;
  • Organizing and maintaining data and records (paper and electronic);
  • Inputting data and records into databases;
  • Updating Geographic Information System data layers; and
  • Performing related duties as required.
The Roles:
  • The Remediation Division is seeking up to two (2) Seasonal Resource Assistants to assist with a variety of administrative duties, including, but not limited to, managing uploads to the Division’s electronic document filing system, database entry, and administrative processing of incoming Property Transfer Program correspondence. You will also learn about the variety of programs administered by the Remediation Division and become knowledgeable on the various type of documents and correspondence received and processed. As time allows, you may also be asked to work on other Division tasks, including updating Geographic Information System data layers and researching and updating program information. Applicants should be well organized, willing to learn Remediation Division database functions, and willing to work in a team setting.
  • The Land and Water Resources Division (LWRD) is responsible for protection and restoration of coastal and inland water-related resources through regulatory, planning and resource management activities. LWRD is seeking one (1) Seasonal Resource Assistant to assist with administrative duties including database entry, uploading electronic documents, preparing files, organizing files, filing, scanning, preparation and electronic distribution of documents and other related duties.

PURPOSE OF JOB CLASS (NATURE OF WORK)

In the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, as a limited duration employee, performs one or more of a variety of tasks and assigned duties of a seasonal nature.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

Ability to follow instructions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and Adobe Acrobat;
  • Experience with ArcPro and/or ArcGIS Online geographic information system software;
  • Experience organizing and completing detail-oriented assignments;
  • Willingness to learn DEEP database structure and function;
  • Experience adhering to professional office protocol; and
  • Experience in the environmental sciences.
