Introduction


The State of Connecticut, Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) Bureau of Central Services, Financial Management Division is seeking to hire a Seasonal Resource Assistant based in Hartford, CT.

Position Highlights
  • The position is Monday - Friday from 21 to 35 hours per week.
  • Duration: This position is not to exceed 1,030 hours, or six (6) months.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Receives and issues stock and maintains records of receipts, arranges stock in planned fashion;
  • Verifies quantity and quality of incoming supplies against packing slips;
  • Maintains housekeeping and security of stores area;
  • Takes required inventory of materials and supplies; 
  • May drive motor vehicles as assigned; 
  • May enter data into a computer;
  • Performs minor maintenance; runs errands, bank deposits, mail processing and mail courier. May move furniture and perform related duties as required.

PURPOSE OF JOB CLASS (NATURE OF WORK)

In the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, as a limited duration employee, performs one or more of a variety of tasks and assigned duties of a seasonal nature.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

  • Receives and issues stock and maintains records of receipts, arranges stock in planned fashion;
