The Division of Parks and Recreation oversees more than 26,000 acres in 17 state parks, the Brandywine Zoo. The Division protects cultural and historic resources, and provides a wide variety of recreational facilities for Delawareans and visitors.

Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
Prior to assignment, appointees must successfully complete multiple day trainings which will require physical components. This course is administered by the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control and will be held in May, 2020. Coursework includes but is not limited to report writing, defensive tactics, ethics, rules and regulations, radio procedures, ASP baton, Oleoresin Capsicum spray (Training and Exposure), and first aid/CPR.
