Summary Statement

Provides Office of Supplier Diversity vendors with expert services that enhance their ability to sell their products and services to the State of Delaware and the private sector, provides support to the supplier diversity council, maintains/develops on-line resources, conducts training outreaches and produces data reports for programmatic results of statewide efforts.

  1. Six months experience in analyzing large quantities of data extracted from multiple databases and data sources, i.e. Access, Excel, Oracle, Sybase, IBM DB2, SQL, etc., and interpreting the relationships identified.

  • Provides Office of Supplier Diversity vendors with expert services that enhance their ability to sell their products and services to the State of Delaware and the private sector, provides support to the supplier diversity council; maintains/develops on-line resources; conducts training outreaches; produces data reports for programatic results of statewide efforts.

  • Makes recommendations to the Governor, the General Assembly and all state departments and agencies regarding ways to improve the program and activities.

  • Review all state policies, plans, programs and activities to determine whether they effectively encourage and promote the participation of the Office of Supplier Diversity in the state procurement process. 

  • Serves as clearinghouse for program information and data. 

  • Assist government agencies in the use of certified Office of Supplier Diversity vendors when purchasing and contracting for the state. 

  • Gathers and analyzes data and prepares statistical and fiscal reports of program activities.

  • Serves as staff to Governor’s Public Works and Procurement Opportunity Council.

  • Networks and establishes relationships with business entities, community organizations, state procurement officials and other interested groups to develop strategies to increase program participation.

  • Performs related work as required.

  1. Knowledge of planning, developing, implementing and evaluating programs.
  2. Six months experience in providing guidance and direction to management/officials in accomplishing financial, program and organizational goals and objectives, identifying and resolving issues.
  3. Knowledge of in interpreting laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures.
  4. Knowledge of procurement services which includes purchasing goods and services in accordance with procurement procedures and contract specifications.
