An incumbent in this position completes a risk/needs
assessment for youth adjudicated and awaiting sentencing. The incumbent in this
position conducts youth/family interviews, verifies collateral information,
assesses the risks and needs of the youth, and prepares a written report for
the court, among other duties. The incumbent would testify in court for
sentencing recommendations, providing the court with an overview of the youth
and family's current and past history. The incumbent would also perform case management activities. Daily tasks consistently involve the use of strong written and oral communication skills. A teamwork philosophy and innovative attitude are essential.
