This is a 3 – 6 month limited position within the Office of the State Treasurer, within the Division of Operations and Fund Management, under the Cash and Debt Management Unit. The Division supports the daily administration of the State’s cash and debt programs, guided by the Cash Management Policy Board (CMPB), Department of Finance (DOF), Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and State Issuing Officers.
A primary focus for this role is on continuous improvement through regular review and updates of debt management policies, procedures, and the development of process maps. Responsibilities include supporting debt management activities, such as updating the project costing module, maintaining the bond access database and other systems, and performing other assigned duties. This position offers practical experience and broad exposure to State financial operations.
· 6 months experience in using Access databases.
· 6 months experience in bonds, capital markets, debt and equity instruments.
Criminal background check: A satisfactory criminal background check is required as a condition of hire. The recruiting agency may require the applicant to pay for the criminal background check as part of the conditional offer of hire.
