Summary Statement

An incumbent in this position will work under the direction of the Executive Director who manages the operations of the Board of Bar Examiners, the Commission on Continuing Legal Education, and the Lawyers Fund for Client Protection. This position is categorized as “Confidential” under the Judicial Branch Personnel Rules which means that the employee serves at the pleasure of the Court Administrator of the Supreme Court. The individual selected for this position will be required to work well independently and work with a team when required.

Preferred Qualification

Applicants that do not possess these preferred qualifications will still be eligible for the position if they are certified and possess the required knowledge, skills, and abilities listed in the Essential Functions section.

  1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and/or five years of professional office experience.
  2. Familiarity with the operation of Boards and Commissions is preferred, but not required.

Essential Functions

This position is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Arms of Court, as assigned which will include: working closely with Boards, Commissions and Committees; coordinating and scheduling Board meetings and hearings; preparing agendas, meeting minutes, PowerPoint presentations and excel spreadsheets; drafting rule revisions as required; entering and maintaining Supreme Court data into the appropriate databases; responding to inquiries from internal and external customers; managing attorney files and responding to inquiries with heavy volume expected during the annual attorney registration period; assisting with the bar examination process; assisting with general office duties; and other duties as assigned.



Job Requirements

Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:

  1. Experience in interpreting and applying rules and regulations.
  2. Advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Quickbooks.
  3. Ability to communicate clearly, courteously, and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  4. Ability to coordinate, oversee, and follow through on work assignments to obtain desired results, including multiple tasks assigned simultaneously.
  5. Experience working in a legal environment.

Conditions of Hire
