Summary Statement

The Delaware Department of Justice (DOJ) is seeking an exceptional and highly motivated individual for the Family Division, to serve in the Child Support Unit in Sussex County as a Deputy Attorney General.

Pay Grade A20 DAG V  Salary Range $118,238/min  $122,920/max 

* The salary of $83,252 for the Deputy Attorney General I position applies to candidates who are admitted to the Delaware Bar

Essential Functions

The primary responsibility for the Deputy Attorney General in this Unit is to represent the Division of Child Support Services in achieving the agency objectives of establishing paternity, establishing and enforcing orders for support, the collection of support arrears, and providing general guidance and assistance to the Division of Child Support Services.  This position has a high-volume caseload with daily litigation and appellate opportunities.

Job Requirements

Related experience in Family Court is not necessary but may be beneficial. The Deputy Attorney General should be able to work independently, meet deadlines and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.    Travel to other counties to handle hearings may be necessary.  Membership in the Delaware Bar is required.
