This is paraprofessional human resource work responsible for benefit-related functions within the Department of Transportation's Human Resources Office. This position processes human resource transactions and provides services to a portion of the Department's population. Benefit-related functions include but are not limited to work with pensions, worker’s compensation, Family Medical Leave Act, and other related benefit areas.
Paraprofessional human resource work is characterized by the application of human resource laws, rules and regulations, providing technical assistance to employees, applicants and others in standard human resource transactions, human resource services, and maintaining personnel files. Examples of paraprofessional or technical responsibilities typically assigned include, but are not limited to those described in the Essential Functions below.
