IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Four to Six years of enterprise network engineering experience providing design, installation, setup, configuration, upgrades, and advanced complex troubleshooting for enterprise routing and switching environments and voice communications infrastructure/systems (including Voice Over IP).
- Four to Six years of enterprise Cisco VoIP network engineering experience.
- Four to Six years managing complex enterprise technology projects in accordance with a formal project management methodology.
- Four to Six years developing, editing, and presenting technical designs, network diagrams, project plans and other technical reports.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License and ability to operate vehicle to deliver, pickup, install and/or troubleshoot equipment issues.
- CCNA or similar Cisco Certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major an information technology or related engineering field.
- Four years of enterprise network & voice infrastructure experience providing architecture design, establishing technology standards, developing multi-platform hardware/software solutions, and managing complex enterprise technology projects in accordance with a formal project management methodology.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engineers solutions using established technology standards to develop multi-platform hardware/software solutions for enterprise routing and switching environments, virtual private networking (VPN), firewalls, voice communications infrastructure/systems (including Voice Over IP), and wireless networking & monitoring systems.
- Provides Tier-2 and Tier-3 technical support for escalated complex issues in supporting multiple infrastructure platforms related to enterprise routing and switching environments, virtual private networking (VPN), firewalls, voice communications infrastructure/systems (including Voice Over IP), and wireless networking & monitoring systems.
- Performs remedial troubleshooting, preventative/remedial maintenance, installation, configuration, and upgrades, for enterprise routing and switching environments, virtual private networking (VPN), wireless networking, and voice communications infrastructure/systems (including Voice Over IP).
- Performs project management duties on complex technology projects in accordance with established project management methodology. Act as team technical liaison for externally managed technology projects originating from the Enterprise Project Management Office as well as other Departments. Provide project management mentoring for Network Administrators.
- Develops, edits, and presents, technical designs, network diagrams, project plans and other technical reports.
- Works with vendors, clients, and other technical staff to resolve technical issues related to vendor-specific supported infrastructure.
- Performs as supervisor to subordinate technical personnel engaged in performance of installation, maintenance and support of hardware and software systems. Provides mentoring and training to peers and subordinates.
- Drives a vehicle to remote locations to deliver, pickup, install and/or troubleshoot equipment problems.
- Performs public records searches as requested per established policies and procedures.

- Knowledge of industry project methodologies and use of documentation platforms for project and technical documentation.
- Considerable knowledge of industry standards, characteristics, features and troubleshooting methods associated with network routing protocols, and/or switching methodologies, and/or firewall concepts, Virtual Private Networking (VPN) connectivity, and data network infrastructure.
- Considerable knowledge of industry standards, characteristics, features and troubleshooting methods associated with voice communications infrastructure/systems (Voice Over IP, Analog Communications, and Cellular).
- Considerable knowledge of industry standards, characteristics, features and troubleshooting methods associated with data communications over wireless network infrastructure.
- Considerable ability to organize, prioritize and manage projects, tasks and time to meet delivery dates.
- Considerable ability to develop, edit, and present technical designs, network diagrams, project plans and other technical reports.
- Considerable ability to troubleshoot complex hardware/software technical issues associated with enterprise routing and switching environments, virtual private networking (VPN), wireless networking, and voice communications infrastructure/systems (including Voice Over IP).
