IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Four to six years of experience managing complex enterprise technology infrastructure projects in accordance with established project management methodologies.         
  • Four to six years of experience demonstrating technical comprehension and system/infrastructure knowledge as required to successfully capture, formalize, and document project requirements, schedules, plans, and all other project management related documentation.
  • Four to six years of experience managing complex enterprise technology infrastructure projects in accordance with established project management methodology associated with desktop, server, and network related technologies.
  • Four to six years of experience responsible for all aspects of project management and ensuring technology projects are completed on time, in budget, and in scope?        Valid Florida Driver’s License
  • PMP (Project Management Professional), CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management), or similar certifications.    

JOB OVERVIEW

Manages complex enterprise technology infrastructure projects in accordance with established project management methodology. Responsible for all aspects of project management and ensures technology projects are completed on time, in budget, and in scope.

Ensures documentation, status updates, schedules, and plans are properly developed and updated. Acts as point of contact for externally managed technology projects. Ensure infrastructure & technical support services (ITSS) division compliance and adherence to established project methodology and provides project management related guidance and oversight to ITSS Project Managers and leads.

Develops, edits, and presents project related documentation and other technical reports.  Develops and reviews procurement-related documentation including requests for proposals and scope of works. Ensures drawings, plans, technical designs, and all other documentation is updated and completed. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major an information technology or related engineering field.

And

Four years of experience providing project management for complex global, enterprise technology infrastructure projects in accordance with established project management methodology.

OR

Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job related competencies indicated as part of this position description.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs project management duties on complex global enterprise technology infrastructure projects in accordance with established project management methodology. Acts as point of contact for externally managed technology projects.
  • Ensure ITSS Division compliance and adherence to established project methodology. Provides project management related guidance and oversight to ITSS project managers and leads.
  • Ensure status updates and project schedules are properly written, updated, documented, and contain meaningful information. Ensure proper documentation is produced based on project needs in accordance with established documentation standards.
  • Develops, edits, and presents project related documentation and other technical reports.  Develops and reviews procurement-related documentation including Requests for Proposals and Scope of Works. Ensures drawings, plans, technical designs, and all other documentation is updated and completed. 
  • Demonstrate technical comprehension and system/infrastructure knowledge as required to successfully capture, formalize, and document project requirements, schedules, plans and all other project management related documentation. 
  • Anticipates project risks and works with the ITSS team to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.  Escalates significant issues and risks to management. Works with ITSS project team to ensure successful project implementations.
  • Develops cost estimates, project requirements, project schedules, technical designs, training plans, test plans and other project management related documentation according to established project methodology. Proactively schedules, leads, and attends project related meetings and attends meetings for all projects under their span of control.
  • Drives a vehicle to remote locations.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • Considerable knowledge of industry standards, characteristics, and features associated with network, infrastructure, telecommunications systems, structured cabling (including outside and inside plant), pathways, hardware, network connectivity, and multi-platform hardware/software related solutions.
  • Considerable knowledge of industry standards, characteristics, and features associated with server infrastructure and multi-platform hardware/software server related solutions.
  • Considerable knowledge of industry standards, characteristics, and features associated with desktop infrastructure and multi-platform hardware/software desktop related solutions.
  • Considerable knowledge of industry project methodologies and use of documentation platforms for project and technical documentation.
  • Considerable ability to organize, prioritize and manage projects, tasks and time to meet delivery dates.
  • Considerable ability to develop, edit, and present technical designs, network diagrams, project plans and other technical reports.
  • Considerable ability to work effectively with others and provide superior customer service to end-users.
  • Considerable ability to communicate effectively both written and orally to end-users, vendors, management, and peers.
