As a regular employee or former employee of the Los Angeles Community College District you have the option to request the following in-service transactions. Provisional employment is also open to outside applicants. If you have any questions about this process, please email us at perscomm@laccd.edu.
Each transaction requires that you meet certain criteria. These criteria are identified and explained in the link listed next to the applicable transaction above. Requests that have been approved are valid for two years from the date of processing with the exception of reinstatement, reemployment, and return to former class requests, which are valid for a maximum of 39 months from the date of separation from employment.
Provisional assignments are temporary employment opportunities that become available when an employment eligibility list does not exist for an applicable job opening or when there are insufficient names available on an existing employment eligibility list to provide a choice of candidates to a hiring location. These assignment opportunities are posted on the Internal Job Opportunities website and are open first to current employees, but may become available to outside applicants.
Provisional assignments are at-will employment opportunities meaning that they do not provide many of the benefits of regular employment, are of limited duration, are subject to time and hour changes, and may be terminated at any time at the discretion of the District.
To submit a request for one or more of the In-Service Transactions noted above or to apply for a provisional assignment opportunity, please click on the applicable radio button and follow the instructions provided. Upon receipt, your request will be reviewed and processed. You will receive notification of the disposition of your request via email. If approved, your name will be provided to hiring locations as vacancies meeting your specifications arise.
