Main Purpose of Job
This position is a full performance level physician and is responsible for providing quality internal medical services to the mentally and chronically ill inpatients of the Eastern Shore Hospital Center. This position provides quality medical services, at a Board Certified Level of proficiency, for employee health services (e.g. hiring, immunizations, etc.).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: A Doctorate a degree in medicine from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Required for certification in an area of medical specialization by an American Medical Association Specialty Board.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The desired candidate should be Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
1. Applicants for this classification must be certified by an American Medical Association Specialty Board in an area of medical specialization.
2. Applicants for this classification must be licensed by the Maryland Board of Physicians to practice medicine under Maryland State Law. A copy of the current license must be attached to the application.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Employees in this classification are subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations 17.04.09, Testing for Illegal Use of Drugs.
