The Department of Housing and Community Development Headquarters is located in Prince George's County across from the New Carrollton Metro stop.
POSITION DUTIES
This position serves as the Manager for Facilities and Fleet Operations within the Office of Operations and Administration (O&A). The Manager for Facilities and Fleet will assist the Director of O&A in overseeing building renovations, the recycling program and construction/design projects for DHCD’s Locations (Lanham, Baltimore and Cambridge). The Facilities and Fleet Manager will promote quality and excellence throughout the organizations by conducting routine inspections of all parts of the organizations’ grounds and facilities. The incumbent will create and implement policies and procedures and maintain a recordkeeping system documenting facility use, maintenance schedules, and any other information required by internal policies and/or by state, and federal regulations.
The incumbent will also oversee and coordinate the workflow of assigned staff to ensure projects are completed in a timely and quality manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Seven years experience in administrative staff or professional work.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from a college or university and three years of experience in administrative staff or professional work for the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute additional graduate level education at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 credit hours for each year of the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included the regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans, policies, rules or regulations or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

Experience in Fleet Management
Experience with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliance
Experience with Maryland Occupational Safety and Health (MOSH) compliance
