Introduction
The Maryland Historical Trust is the state agency dedicated to preserving and interpreting the legacy of Maryland’s past. Through research, conservation and education, the Maryland Historical Trust assists the people of Maryland in understanding their historical and cultural heritage. Part of the Maryland Department of Planning, the Maryland Historical Trust serves as Maryland’s State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) pursuant to the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966. This is a full-time one-year contractual position

POSITION DUTIES
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Anthropology, History, Historic Preservation, Architectural History, or other closely related field.
Experience: Two
years of professional experience and/or preservation internships in one of the
above fields. Proficiency with databases and with computerized file management
is required.
Notes:
- Additional graduate
level education at an accredited college or university may be substituted
at the rate of 30 semester credit hours on a year-to-year basis for the
required general experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with cultural resources of the Middle
Atlantic region.
