Introduction
The Governor’s Office
of Crime Prevention, Youth and Victims Services (GOCPYVS) provides access to
federal and state grant funds in an effort to support the Governor’s
initiatives to fund the police and reduce crime, provide for victims’ services
and for children & youth to mitigate adverse childhood experiences.

Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
Participates in routine
assessment and tracking of grant activities. Review grant documents for accuracy, completeness
and compliance with submission guidelines.
Review written and oral
correspondence with sub-recipients, program/policy, and federal agencies (as
applicable) to maintain, organize, and report pertinent data. Address sub-recipient inquiries and provide
training.
Perform data
entry and validate data in the Performance Measurement Tool (PMT), Federal Funding Availability and Transparency Act sub
award reporting system (FFATA), and the Sub-Grant
Report (SAR).
Run queries and reports from
the agency’s Grant Management System (GMS), conduct analysis on a monthly basis
and report data to management. Create and maintain charts and tables for
statistical reports.
Participates in pre to post
award monitoring (including regular site visits, desk audits and
collecting/analyzing financial activities, performance measures, and progress
reports) to protect state resources in adherence to agency policies guidelines.
Assists with Notice of Funding
Availability (NOFA) releases, application review and award, peer review,
application processing, sub award closeout, grant adjustment
notification (GAN) review for sufficiency, and submission of federal paperwork
in JustGrants and GrantSolutions (ex. Award applications,
surveys/questionnaires, and extensions) as requested.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Five years of experience in grant evaluation and monitoring or budget preparation, presentation and execution.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and one year of experience in grant evaluation and monitoring or budget preparation, presentation and execution for the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute graduate education from an accredited college or university in accounting, business administration, economics, finance, political science or public administration at a rate of 30 credit hours for the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in the Budget Officer classifications or Financial Management specialty codes in the Budgeting field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Our Preferred Candidate Will
Have Both of the Following:
One year experience in grant
evaluation and monitoring of
federal and/or state grants.
One year customer service experience in training and assisting customers in the grant application process.

BENEFITS
Contractual employees who work for an agency and have a current employment contract of 30 or more hours a week (or on average 130 hours per month) will be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage for themselves and their dependents.

Paid leave will accrue at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked.
