POSITION DUTIES
- Oversees the critical success of the Family Investment programmatic operations, which include monitoring program compliance, develop work procedures and administrative controls, overpayment (Appeals, Hearings), training, contract monitoring and error reduction strategies. Monitors the processes and procedures of the District Offices to provide support regarding training, audits, develop standard operating procedures. Plan and identify corrective action strategies to reduce errors and deficiencies. Performs analysis and ensures that the District Offices meet compliance benchmarks with applicable program regulations and policies. Assist and provide feedback in the development of departmental policies, procedures, and practices. At all times the incumbent will provide customer service to both internal and external customers, that meet or exceeds the standards set by the Department. Serves in the absence of the Assistant Director of FID.
- Designs, develop, implement, and monitor District Office processes and procedure to enhance services by communicating with key personnel to evaluate existing services. Develop corrective action plans and strategies to address District Office deficiencies.
- Oversee personnel activities to include interviewing, monitoring and counseling employees. Recommends disciplinary actions, hiring of staff for the Overpayment and Training Units.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Eight years of experience in administrative, professional or technical work, three years must have involved supervision of other employees or exercising responsibility for program development.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute graduate level education at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 credit hours on a year-for-year basis for up to two years of the required general experience.
2. Candidates may substitute additional professional or technical experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience at a rank of Corporal/Petty Officer or higher as a commissioned officer in Administrative Officer classifications or Administrative Officer specialty codes in the General, Administrative, Clerical, and Office Services field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education, two years must have been in an administrative supervisory or consultative capacity.
