Board of Massage Therapy Examiners/Board of Chiropractic Examiners, Baltimore, MD
Main Purpose of Job
Administrative Specialist manages fiscal documents. Insures that all electronic revenue generated from renewals is accurately recorded. Coordinates license holds for Comptrollers Tax Liens;Pays Bills; Issues licensee refunds; Coordinates travel documents for Board members and Staff; Responsible for Expense Reports; Keeps revenue receipt log; Coordiantes and reconciles R-Starr report with monthly Revenue reports; Coordinates Board meetings; Gathers Board agenda items and documentation; Sends Board packet to Board members; Ensures that the Board's meeting room is set up and taken down; Produces Board minutes; Coordinates flow of disciplinary cases; Draft child support letters; Provides Board scripts for CRCs and Hearings; Responsible for procurement, inventory and storage of documents/office supplies/equipment. Lastly, this position is responsible for developing numerous report for staff, board members, DHMH and the State.
Education: Completion of 60 credit hours at an accredited college or university.
Experience: One year of experience in administrative or professional work.
1. Candidates may substitute experience as defined above for the required education at the rate of one year of experience for 30 credit hours, for up to 60 credit hours of required education.
2. Candidates may substitute 90 credit hours at an accredited college or university for the required education and experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer involving staff work requiring regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting rules and regulations in accordance with agency laws and policies on a year to year basis for the required education and experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Work, Excel, and Access. Also knowledge of accounting principals.

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
